Moonlight: Kentucky Bluegrass
Compact type
Approximately 1,565,000 seeds per lb.
A bluegrass hybrid developed by Dr. David Huff at Rutgers University and tested as PST-A418, 'Moonlight' Kentucky bluegrass has become one of the most widely demanded varieties since 1999. While the competition contented itself with promoting a whole series of 'Midnight' look-alikes, Turf-Seed's 'Moonlight' raised the bar for both bluegrass quality and performance.
A moderately compact variety, 'Moonlight' exhibits a medium leaf texture, medium density, and a very unique blue-green color. Combined with very highly rated bluegrass drought tolerance, 'Moonlight' also features a uniquely strong tolerance to salinity. Combined with excellent quality at a 'fairway' mowing height of 0.5", 'Moonlight' is truly a bluegrass suited for all 'bluegrass uses'. Sod production, golf, sports turf, park and recreation, home and commercial lawns, blends and mixes;
...............'Moonlight' fits the need!
